Making Your Latex Outfit Really Shine.

You can really increase the shine of your latex outfit by using a silicone based polish, such as, Latexa Star Shine or other rubber vinyl conditioners. But avoid using any oil-based lubricants as they can destroy the latex material.

Use a soft cloth when applying polish to the latex fabric, but avoid using any abrasive cloth, which could scratch the fabric.

During the first treatment, spray one side of the garment with the conditioner and let it sit until most of the conditioner has been absorbed. They flip the garment over and repeat on the other side. It may take two or three treatment to achieve a shiny, mirror like finish.

For transparent latex garments, you should treat both the inside of the garment, as this will increase the transparency of the latex. It is also a good idea to treat the inside of the latex garment to make it easier to put on and take off.

Fixing Latex Garment Tears.

Latex is a very flexible material, however, it can also tear and a small tear in the latex can easily grow into a much larger tear.

But have no fear for latex tears are simple to fix.

Latex Repair Kit:

The following items are all you will need to quickly made repairs to your latex garmet. You will need rubber cement, a medium grain sand paper, rubbing alcohol and a small latex or rubber patch.

Latex Repair Instructions

First clean both surfaces that you are going to glue together with rubbing alcohol. Note, if you used a rubber conditioner to shine your latex material, you may need to soak the area of the tear in warm soapy water to clean the latex.

Once the area around the tear are clean, lightly buff both surfaces of the tear with sand paper. This will aid and enhance the strength of the patch.

You are now ready to apply the rubber cement glue and patch. The latex will curl up a bit when the cement glue is applied, but it should gradually uncurl as the rubber dement begins to dry. When the rubber cement is still tacky but not wet, you want to press the two surfaces together. Run your finger down the seam or use a cylindrical object, such as a pen or pencil down the seam to remove all the air between the patch and the tear. If the tear is large, it my be advisable to cement a small part of the patch at a time, rather than the whole ting at one. Let the rubber cement set over night and repeat the process until the tear is completely sealed.
