Kylie underwent surgery in May of 2005 and had the support of her friends Olivia Newton-John who also was a survivor of breast cancer.
On November 11, 2006, Minogue resumed her Showgirl - Homecoming Tour with a performance in Sydney, joking with the crowd that she was, after a 18 month delay, "fashionably late", according to her Wikipedia entry.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
There is a great program that you and your kids can become involved in that supports local community breast cancer awareness.
Through the program Save Lids to Save Lives run by Yoplait yogurt cups, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in their fight against breast cancer. The program can raise up to $1.5 million with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000.
Further, the money raised by lids redeemed in individual communities will be donated to the local Affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure in those communities.
This is a great way for you and your family to become involved in the fight against breast cancer and help your own community efforts in the fight against breast cancer.
